Saturday afternoon(May 27) was a special treat. Kim Mina, to the accompaniment of Park Heonu, gave a magnificent performance. Although she sang traditional pansori it felt modern. Through sheer artistry she was able to transcend the constraints of the genre and create an atmosphere of freedom.

It was a very select, enthusiastic audience and she received a standing ovation. There was a short solo from our hostess that was very charming and the courtyard of Seochon Guesthouse was the perfect place. Even the weather was just right. Although I don't speak Korean, her talent and charm and humanity didn't need translating.
